Estate Management Boards (EMB)

Estates: Holland, Mile End, Glamis, and Island Gardens

EMBs meet with officers to resolve issues affecting homes, estates or communities. EMBs can escalate

What it doesn’t do: Discuss individual repairs and complaints.
Your role
  • Attend regular meetings.
  • Take part in discussions and support decision making.
  • Prepare for meetings in advance by reading meeting packs and papers.

Volunteering your time

  • 2.5 hours per meeting.
  • Time for reading papers and preparing for meetings.

Tenant and Resident Associations (TRA)

Tenant and Resident Associations (TRA)

TRAs are independent, resident-led organisations made up of volunteer residents from EEH estates. Members meet regularly and discuss issues about housing services, repairs and cleaning with us. TRAs also run community events. Any resident who lives on the estate can apply to become a member.

What it doesn’t do: Discuss items already covered by the EMBs.

Your role

  • Attend regular meetings – generally monthly.
  • Participate in discussions.
  • Raise issues with housing, estates and repairs services that haven’t been resolved.
  • Take part in local activities and promotions run by the TRA.

The Resident Scrutiny Panel
