Great ASB result thanks to residents' report
Thanks to residents’ reports, EastendHomes has been able to take action against drug dealing issues in the Mile End area helping to make it a safer place to live and play.
After receiving concerns from residents and our own staff EastendHomes increased Parkguard patrols over several months. Parkguard is a service we invest in to support community safety in our neighbourhoods.
The patrols closely monitored the areas of concern. Following their shared intelligence with the Safer Neighbourhood Team, Parking Contractor and the Metropolitan Police several garages in the Mile End were searched.
This resulted in disrupted drug activity in the area and removal of a lethal weapon.
Work did not stop here, our dedicated team continued to follow new lines of enquiry relating to sale of Class A drug. This has led to a successful raid and arrest of an individual.
Sheena Monilal, EastendHomes Neighbourhood Manager said:
These arrests would not have been possible without the help of vigilant residents and staff committed to keeping their communities safe. I’d like to thank all those individuals who took the time to make log and share their concerns.
This case demonstrates how seriously EastendHomes takes reports of ASB and the progress we can make through residents’ reports. If you hear or see anything illegal, please report this to your local housing office. It will make a difference.
If you see any suspicious activity, please report this to the Police non-emergency number 101 or in the event of an emergency call 999.
