Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus health crisis and the measures introduced by the Government in response, EastendHomes is introducing a number of changes in service provision for our residents. These are being introduced as part of our contingency planning and will mean that some services may take longer to provide or you may not be able to access all of our services.
Our local housing centres will remain open, but I ask that you contact us by telephone, email (address at top of this letter) or text, rather than visiting the office. We will regularly update our website www.eastendhomes.co.uk and additional information will be provided which we hope will assist residents whilst these temporary measures are in place.
Please note that it is likely that a housing office may temporarily need to close or the opening hours changed at short notice. Please check our website before visiting one of our offices.
EastendHomes staff will not be undertaking home visits during this period and when booking emergency repairs our staff will need to ask you several questions about your health and about self-isolation. I apologise but this is unfortunately necessary.
Some services such as repairs and estate services may be seriously affected. We will only be able to respond to emergency repairs during this period and our staff will only be recording non-emergency repair requests for action at a later time and will not be booking appointments.
If you feel you may need extra help, or are worried about an elderly or vulnerable neighbour, please let us know and if we are unable to assist we will do our best to find out what support is available.
