British Estate Cultural Association achieves Registered Charity status

Congratulations to British Estate Cultural Association who have recently achieved official registered charity status. Located on the British Estate in Mile End, the Cultural Association has a long history in serving its community, having opened in 2005. Its new charity identity will enable the organisation to increase fundraising and in turn grow its range of services for local people.

Local resident and Association Member Arif Ahmed tells us more:

We’re delighted for our Cultural Association to be formally recognised and trusted by the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Anyone going through the process knows it involves rigorous governance checks before a Charity number is awarded. We’re all excited about being recognised as a registered charity and the opportunities this presents to develop the British Estate Cultural Association for the future.  We’d like to thank everyone who has helped us through our application including EastendHomes.

If you’re part of a local group and keen to find out more about applying for charity status please contact Arif Ahmed by email arif@ukcdi.co.uk, or contact Paul Wilson, EastendHomes Community Engagement Officer on Paul.Wilson@eastendhomes.net.
