Fire at Berkeley House today
A fire occurred at Berkeley House this morning. The fire was attended by London Fire Brigade and brought under control within an hour. There were no injuries and the fire was successfully contained within the property, indicated that the fire safety measures present in the block were successful.
Unfortunately, there was significant damage to the property and the properties directly below have been affected by water damage. The Bernie Cameron Community Centre was open and made available to local residents while the Fire Brigade were on site.
All residents of Berkeley House other than those directly affected will be able to return home today. EastendHomes will be working closely with the London Fire Brigade on their follow-up investigations.
