You said, we did: Resident Annual Report Workshops
You said, we did: Resident Annual Report Workshops – Your Voice in Action
On 22 and 27 April, we hosted workshops with residents from across our five estates, helping to shape our upcoming Resident Annual Report for 2025–2026. This is part of our 'you said, we did' campaign to better capture and act upon the resident voice.
These sessions gave residents the opportunity to share what matters most to them, helping ensure the report reflects their priorities and experiences. The workshops were hosted by East End Homes and designed by Design Agency — Simple Truth. A big thank you to Mark Smith and Katie for their excellent work in organising and chairing the sessions.
The workshops were interactive and collaborative, covering visual style, layout, and content. We also focused on resident stories and how the final report should look and feel to read, so that it's an informative and meaningful publication.
The content was structured as an interactive session, beginning with a welcome and introduction from Simple Truth, alongside an overview of East End Homes’ purpose and some ground rules. This was followed by a short context-setting section explaining what the Resident Annual Report is and why it matters. The core of the workshop focused on three collaborative activities: residents first took part in a card-sorting exercise to explore what content should be included in the report; this was followed by paired discussions around key themes to share their stories and experiences; and finally, participants reflected on the visual style, layout, and overall feel of the report. The session concluded with a summary of next steps, a thank you to participants, and an opportunity to provide feedback.
A big thank you to everyone who took part! Your input made the sessions insightful, productive, and truly valuable.
We’re looking forward to continuing this approach, creating more opportunities for residents to be involved in shaping the decisions that affect them.
