Worried about money? You're not alone
A recent survey showed that one in two people in the UK are worried about their finances. To help manage the stresses of rising living costs we’re partnering with EliHub to pilot a new free financial advice service for EastendHomes tenants.
Launching on 3 April 2024, EliHub offers EastendHomes tenants personalised debt guidance, budget planning and financial management solutions both in person and remotely through a digital platform.
All advisors are accredited by the Financial Conduct Authority and specifically trained to offer financial guidance that will help residents save money. The Eli Hub Pilot will run until July 2024.

We want to be as proactive as possible in supporting our tenants with useful financial advice. EliHub appealed to us as it’s had great success in nearby London Boroughs and combines the benefits of technology with in-person advice. It’s an innovative way to get people the financial help they need.
Our new EliHub pilots compliments the benefit advice offered by our existing welfare advisor, available for one-on-one consultations at our local housing offices or the Bromley by Bow Centre.
Earlier in March, Tower Hamlets Council revealed £100 million benefits are currently going unclaimed in Tower Hamlets. This includes;
- £52 million in unclaimed Universal Credit
- £6 million in unclaimed Child Benefit
- £17 million in unclaimed Council Tax support
- £13 million in unclaimed Carer’s Allowance
- £9 million in unclaimed Pension Credit
- £12 million in other unclaimed support for yourself and your family including cheaper household bills, free TV licenses, and free food, vitamins and meals for your children.
