EastendHomes gets top governance rating from the Homes and Communities Agency

EastendHomes has been awarded the highest governance rating following the latest review carried out by the Government's housing regulator, the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).

The HCA governance rating has been achieved following a lengthy review of all aspects of EastendHomes' internal controls, governance arrangements, and compliance with the National Housing Federation (NHF) code of governance.

Regulatory Judgements are published annually by the HCA, with registered providers assessed on the basis of four categories of compliance from G1 to G4, with G1 being the highest governance rating.

Neil McAree, Chair of the EastendHomes Board commented:

"I am absolutely delighted with the Regulatory Judgement by the HCA. This is the first time EeH has achieved the highest possible governance rating and is the outcome of our extensive review of governance compliance arrangements over the past year. It is also recognition of the hard work of our Board and officers. The G1 rating demonstrates that EeH is a well governed organisation with an effective and robust framework in place as we move forward with our ambitious plans to complete the refurbishment of our estates and providing more and better homes that are genuinely affordable for local people and continue to provide good quality services supported by residents".
