EastendHomes seeks new Board Chair

In September this year our current Board Chair Kevin Moore reaches the end of his formal term and will be standing down from EastendHomes Board.  As such we are now recruiting for a new Chair to lead our locally focussed housing association.

Kevin explains more about the role below and why he thinks it’s an amazing opportunity for the right candidate.

Despite the challenges facing the sector, EastendHomes continues to grow and invest into our communities. The new Chair will oversee a multi-million investment plan ensuring that we continue to provide good quality homes which are safe and secure. They will have an immediate opportunity to impact the organisation through the development of the new Corporate Plan responding to the competing demands of the new regulatory frameworks shaping our sector.

Most importantly they will not be alone supported by a robust and diverse board, with a depth of skills and experiences working alongside a brilliant team of staff at EastendHomes.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate in depth experience as a Non-Executive Director with a good understanding of social housing and the political environment within which it operates. If you are genuinely committed to working with our local communities and improving the lives and homes of our residents this is a unique opportunity to lead this fabulous organisation and shape our future strategy. I wish you well on your application.

EastendHomes Board Chair role is a three year term.  Deadline to apply is 9am 28 May 2024.
