New East End Homes CEO starts

Daniel Killian

Daniel will oversee our ongoing improvement programme and lead on the delivery of our Corporate Plan 2025-28. In addition to these longer-term goals, his immediate priorities will be to drive change and embed a culture of openness, accountability, and excellence for the benefit of all residents. Daniel will continue the process he started over the summer of getting to know colleagues and residents across all five estates.

From mid-August, East End Homes put in place new arrangements for resident-facing services. This includes changes to the Housing and Asset Management teams and a new Customer Service team, which is responsible for first point-of-contact with residents. Daniel’s arrival coincides with the instigation of this revitalised structure geared towards the delivery of excellent services for residents.

Commenting at the time of his appointment, Daniel said: "East End Homes is an organisation with strong values, deep roots in local communities, and a real determination to move forward and improve. I’m looking forward to working with residents, colleagues and the Board to lead the organisation into stability, continuous improvement and growth.

“East End Homes has a proud history of involving residents in decision-making and has developed strong ties to the communities it serves. I’m committed to the provision of exemplary housing services, based on an understanding of residents’ needs, that will contribute to thriving and resilient local communities.”

Yvonne Arrowsmith, who’s been Interim CEO since November 2024, said: “I would like to thank all colleagues for their dedication to providing quality services for residents during my time as Interim CEO. The hard work that’s gone into the past ten months since I joined East End Homes means that it’s now operating as a truly fit for the future housing association. With the Corporate Plan as a guide and Daniel leading from the front, East End Homes is on track to build a better future with residents.”

As promised to residents, Yvonne will stay on to oversee the completion of the Eric Street Development in Mile End.
