Incident update for Hatton House residents
On Friday, over the weekend and for most of Monday, residents living on the upper floors Hatton House were unfortunately without power due to an electrical fault. Residents of lower floors were also affected but electricity was restored to these flats on Saturday around luncthime. All residents were offered emergency accommodation on Friday and this was extended for residents of the upper floors until overnight Monday.
We are very sorry about this and would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding while we worked hard to rectify the situation. Safety of residents is our number one priority so we had to take the decision to move residents temporarily while the electricity supply was being fixed.
We have been in constant contact with residents during this time, both on the phone and on-site at the St. George's office and a nearby community centre. Food and drinks were provided and we made special arrangements for residents with additional support needs.
We'll continue to support residents and once again we are sorry they had to endure the disruption.
