East End Homes strengthens its leadership team
East End Homes has appointed Vicky May as its Executive Director for Homes and Communities. In the newly created role, Vicky will provide strategic vision and leadership for housing and estate services teams at the community-led housing association based in Tower Hamlets.
Operating across five estates in the east London borough, East End Homes is led by Chief Executive, Daniel Killian. The appointment of Vicky strengthens the executive management team to steer the organisation through planned transformational change.
Commenting on her appointment, Vicky said: “Having spent over 28 years in local government, the time is right for me to embrace an exciting new challenge and effect positive change at East End Homes. I’m passionate about delivering resident-focused housing services and look forward to supporting Daniel and colleagues as we negotiate East End Homes’ improvement journey.
“Fairness, respect and accountability are my guiding principles, and they will stand me in good stead as we seek to strengthen East End Homes from the inside out. Working closely with colleagues, partners and residents, I’ll be focussed on overseeing improvements across all service areas to achieve the best possible outcomes for the communities we serve.”

Since its governance rating was downgraded to G3 in 2023 by the Regulator of Social Housing, East End Homes has been on a sustained improvement programme. Vicky has driven change in her housing roles at Gravesham Council with a focus on lessons learned from resident feedback.
Vicky takes up her role in early June. Priorities for her will be to amplify the resident voice in decision-making, ensure consumer regulatory compliance, and galvanise the housing and asset management teams.
