Be Aware - Cold Caller Scams

Sadly, we have received reports of an increase in attempts to gain entry to the homes of local resident from cold callers, including some claiming to be from EastendHomes.

Please remember, especially if you are not expecting a visit, that any genuine caller will have identification with them and will not mind being asked to show this to you. If you have a caller saying that they are from EastendHomes or our contractors and you are not sure, during office hours you can contact us to check that an appointment has been arranged. If you want to report an incident but are not in immediate danger you should contact the Police on the non-emergency number 101. If you feel in danger, call 999.

Also please remember never to provide cash or bank card details to a caller unless you have arranged this in advance. If you or someone you know has been the victim of a cold caller scam, you should report this to Action Fraud.
