Paul Bloss retires

Photo of outgoing EEH Chief Executive Paul Bloss After serving Tower Hamlets residents for over four decades, Paul Bloss is retiring from his role as Chief Executive of EastendHomes.

Paul first started working in Tower Hamlets' housing department in the 1980s. He went on to lead various regeneration projects in Wapping, Watney Market and Barley Mow estate.

In 2004 Paul was appointed to set up EastendHomes with resident on the British Estate in Mile End to bring much needed investment into their homes and neighbourhoods.

Neil McAree, former Chair of EastendHomes said:

Paul's direction from day one was absolutely clear. It was about establishing a brilliant partnership with residents to take regeneration forward.

Fast forward to 2021, we are an award-winning organisation responsible for over 3,000 homes in Mile End, Shadwell, Isle of Dogs and Spitalfields; and highly respected for our locally-focused housing and community service.

Our progress is a result of Paul's vision and belief that decent housing is a right not a privilege.

Paul's commitment to Tower Hamlets communities was highlighted earlier this year when he was short-listed for a 2021 Inside Housing Lifetime Achievement Award by his peers in the housing sector.

John Henderson will continue as EastendHomes Managing Director; and Paul will continue to provide an advisory role going forward.
