Jack & the Beanstalk sprouts in Mile End
Panto came to Southern Grove Community Centre in Mile End when it was transformed into a giant beanstalk on Thursday 5 December.
There were cheers, boos, a great Dame and lots of fun at this well-loved festive event organised and funded by local housing association EastendHomes. At a time when we are all counting the pennies, EastendHomes panto is completely free and enjoyed by residents of all ages. Many come back year after year charmed by the experience. As well as the show there were lots of delicious treats for the little ones.
Paul Wilson, EastendHomes Community Engagement Manager said:
The audience participation at this panto is absolutely fantastic. The cheers from the young people could be heard from Bow. It is great to see this long-standing Christmas tradition continue and thrive here in Mile End with such gusto and enthusiasm.
