The State of Ageing 2023/24
A new report published by the Centre for Ageing Better has identified changes and trends in England's population. Their findings included:
- The population is older than ever before, with almost 40% of people in England over 50; and almost 20% over 65
- The number of people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds has increased by 80% since the 2011 Census
- There are some drastic differences in health outcomes between different groups in our society.
