Underground refuse collection - British Street estate
EastendHomes is aware that there have been significant disruption to collections from the underground refuse system on the British Street estate in Mile End. EEH is continuing to raise resident concerns with the managers at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets who are responsible for the refuse collection on the estate.
We appreciate this is a boroughwide problem but we have asked them to resolve their refuse collection problems on the British Street estate as a matter of urgency. Not only is the mess unacceptable for residents, especially when the bags of rubbish are split open, but our estate services staff are being asked to deal with the very unpleasant rubbish overspills and being taken away from their daily cleaning schedules.
