EastendHomes Board Member receives Tower Hamlets Civic Award

On Tuesday 16 April 2024 EastendHomes Resident Board Member Forhana Begum received a Civic Award for her outstanding contribution to Tower Hamlets  community.

Tower Hamlets Civic Awards are an opportunity to thank the borough’s unsung heroes and heroines. Forhana was nominated by fellow resident volunteer Helen Goody.

Helen explains why she feels Forhana is deserving of a Civic Award:

Forhana’s kindness, selflessness and caring nature shines through in everything she does. She is a highly respected Resident Board Member of EastendHomes always willing to help her community.

Be it her volunteering work that has made Food for Aldgate such a success,  to filling in forms, arranging appointments , or being a shoulder to lean on.

She generously gives her time to make life a little bit better for those in need.

In receiving the award Forhana said:

I would like to say a big thank you to Helen for nominating me and to Eastendhomes for giving me the opportunities to get involved and give services to the community.

I'm very grateful to get this award and feel proud of the so many amazing people around me. Thank you so much for everything.
