16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

From 25 November (the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) to 10 December, there is a campaign of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence - seeking to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world.

This campaign is co-ordinated by the Violence Against Women and Girls team at LB Tower Hamlets. You can find details of activities and sessions which are open to the public by visiting www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/16DaysOfActivism.

The 25 November is also affiliated to the White Ribbon Campaign (WRC). This Campaign encourages men to lead on awareness raising of male violence against women by wearing a white ribbon and making a promise to never commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women. Men can make the promise by signing the White Ribbon online pledge
