Our Community loves a Christmas Panto

Oh no it doesn't, oh yes it does

EastendHomes brought Christmas to Southern Grove Community Centre with a live Panto performance and lots of delicious festive fun.

Photo of panto performers Residents from Mile End, Isle of Dogs and Shadwell made up the diverse audience to cheer, boo and sing along to Dick Whittington performed by Chaplin’s Panto Performers who encouraged lots of traditional audience interaction.

The fun didn’t stop there. Local children did their best Mary Berry impersonations to judge the Gingerbread Houses all made by staff from Lloyds Banking Group. Competition was very tough, and everyone got to sample the yummy houses once the winner was announced after a traditional collective smashing of the Gingerbread Houses.

"Panto is a great British tradition and it was wonderful to see so many young children enjoying the fun together in the full-on Panto style. EastendHomes would like to thank our volunteers from State Street and Lloyds Banking Group for making it such a special event.
