Statement on Calders Wharf
EastendHomes has recently become aware of a further misleading and factually incorrect document circulated by the ‘friends of island gardens’ (foig) to coincide with the local elections.
EastendHomes and Tower Hamlets Council have previously issued statements which correct misinformation produced by foig. These statements are available on the EastendHomes website.
In particular EastendHomes would like to clearly and unequivocally state, once again, that we are not building on the park.
We would also like to emphasize, again, that the site of Calders Wharf is in the temporary possession of Telford Homes whilst they build the new community centre with residential flats above.
Once the building is complete the site will be returned to the ownership of EastendHomes .
In the meantime EastendHomes is in early discussions with local community groups and residents about options for the running of the new community facility which will be available and open for everyone in the local area to use.
