Six new wildlife-friendly gardens created

Volunteers at Cable Gardens Cable Gardens, a new community gardens created on the St George's estate in partnership with Trees for Cities, was the sixth wildlife-friendly garden created on EastendHomes estates this winter. These gardens have native trees and nectar-rich flowers which support local pollinators.

On 21st March over 40 volunteers and local residents attended a community planting day to plant some of the trees. Jim Fitzpatrick MP attended to admire the progress. Some birch trees were planted by a group of volunteers from Investec on 19th March.

The Cables Gardens follow in the footsteps of five other small wildlife-friendly gardens created over the winter in conjunction with the Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park. These are located at Derwent House; Ennerdale House; Buttermere House; Beckley House; and Tracy House.
